I just made white cinnamon raisin bread and my recipe only called for like one tablespoon of cinnamon. You used A LOT of cinnamon and I think you’re right the extra raisins weighed it down. Also, in my breadmaker, the yeast isn’t supposed to mix early with the liquids, so I put it on top last separated by the flour. Nice vid.

When using instant (bread machine) yeast, you put it in last, on top of the flour. When using traditional yeast (like MissTruly did), you need to put it in with the liquid because it has to be proofed (woken up). Bread machine manuals always assume you’re using instant yeast, which is why they all say to put it in last.

Hi I know you posted this several months ago but I’m just finding your video…great video by the way very informative! I have a question, I’d like to make the cinnamon raisin bread but I LOVE raisins, I understand you said the bread did not rise as much with the extra raisins but does the not rising affect the texture or just the appearance? Honestly, I’d be fine it the bread wasn’t as tall as long as I had raisins in every bite. Thanks hope to hear from you soon

the reason why the bread never rise is that the lid was opened during the kneading cycles this allows for resting of the dough the air caused it not to rise properly

Are there “bread container attachments” to make longer and skinnier loafs of bread? Like the bread at quiznos.

I just picked up a bread machine today and plan on making my first bread soon. After watching your video it doesn’t seem all that complicated. I can see the possibilities of adding all kinds of yummies to the recipie. Thanks for a great video.

ok, some please help.i got a oster bread maker and it seems to have smiliar settings to this one (wheat, basic, sweet, and express). i want to make a banana bread so i got the instand banana bread mix. do i put the bread mix in the bread maker with the rest of the ingredients it calls for, select the sweet setting and medium crust, is that correct? i dont want to mess up the first time using it lol

From my breadmaker-manual: “First add the liquids, sugar and salt, then the flour, adding the yeast as the last ingredient” “Make certain that yeast does not some into contact with salt or liquid”.

@NissyIsTheShit Check the instructions on the back of the banana bread mix box. If the mix comes with yeast, the Sweet setting should work; however, if it doesn’t come with yeast, it may be a quick bread mix — so use the Quick Bread setting (which is NOT the same as Rapid Bake), or prepare it in your oven instead. Next time, find a banana bread recipe written for bread machines (they’re not that hard to follow). Good luck!
